That is agreed in the engagement before the trial starts, along with what may be published and in what form.
How long does a trial take?
At minimum one full crop cycle. Meaningful variety recommendations usually need repetition across seasons or sites.
Can trials be run on our own farm?
Yes. Running the trial on the site where the crop will be grown is the point — it removes the guesswork in transferring results from elsewhere.
